Sometimes it takes time, it seems, to stop 'needing' to be the star. Thanks for the reminder, Stan, that it's okay to let that go.

Early in my coaching career my ego was worried about not being the Star in the coaching relationship. What became very obvious was the amazing effectiveness of active listening versus telling, preaching or hinting. The need to be heard once satisfied, allows the clients gifts to emerge as contrasted with their stories or history.
Thanks for sharing Thomas, he continues to touch my life.

I love the frameworks as they remind me that it is ok to be human, to not be perfect and to have a framework to support me when I need it and when life is running smoothly then I don't need reminding and the frameworks just are. Thomas was such a master of humanity.

I would think that you would only ask someone to do this periodically. But the most useful part of this assessment to me is to assess how I'm doing as a coach. It serves as a reminder of some things that I may not have been attending to in my coaching sessions.

I love this concept that everything is perfect.

For example, the planet is perfect. There are many things we can change in the way we intereact with it, which would help sustain its perfection - even perfect it. And it is perfect even as it is.

Perfectionism -- the bane of many coaching clients. This is a (excuse my language) PERFECT reminder of the importance of balance in our perfecting perfectionism. I'm sending this to all my clients today.

I am so grateful for this sharing of Thomas' sharp insightfulness in reminding us that words only mean what we decided they mean, and lord have mercy people take back that author-itative power!!!

I love perfect. I live for perfect. And the timing of this couldn't have been more perfect. Thanks Andrea.
